The Debathena Lucid public release is currently scheduled for the evening
of Thursday August 26. As this release is the first automatic release
upgrade for Debathena workstations, please read the following information
carefully.
Only workstations with the "debathena-cluster" metapackage
will automatically upgrade to lucid. If you're not sure which
metapackage your workstation is running, you can use the
"machtype -L" command to view this information.
As the upgrade process is designed for "debathena-cluster" machines, it
*completely wipes the hard drive*. As a reminder, "debathena-cluster"
machines should not have any local data storage or custom configurations.
They should also not be installed in dual-boot configurations.
Users of metapackages other than "debathena-cluster" should follow the
normal Ubuntu upgrade process[1] if they wish to upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04
("Lucid").
