Hrm, this is a piece of data I was missing. I was under the
impression that split users still had their IMAP server as their
primary PO, and that they were splitting to Exchange (which could not
be accomplished merely with chpobox, but could be accomplished
specially).
The problem I was looking to avoid was that some users who have been
fully migrated to Exchange and never intend to check their IMAP mail
again still have their IMAP server as the hesiod pobox entry (which
would be undesirable). Perhaps only IS&T staff are in that situation.
I agree that this will cause a serious problem for the Helpdesk if we
can no longer log in to webmail to assist users, and thus we may want
to postpone any changes to Hesiod. (We can still move forward on
turning on GSSAPI on poNN.mail.mit.edu). I'm not sure what the right
answer is. Perhaps an additional Hesiod entry? What we primarily
need on the Athena side is an easy, unauthenticated way to determine
what a user's primary mail server is. It doesn't necessarily have to
be the POBOX HesiodType.
