Actually, there's still disabling visual effects for Compiz, too (via
gnome-appearance-properties). I think we agreed on Tuesday we
couldn't go live with that screensaver/zephyr bug. I didn't have a
chance to look at that yesterday, and it does not play nice with X11
forwarding, so I haven't yet figured out the setting. I think it's
either in .config/compiz or .gnome2 or something - I'm pretty sure
it's not in gconf. If I have time to install VMware, I'll test it
that way.

Anyway, new publicity:

New PDFs are attached. The sign on top of the workstation says "Beta"
the most prominently, followed by the door sign, followed by the
"instructions" document. Please provide feedback on them by 2pm on
Monday, as I'd like to get to Copytech that afternoon to copy the
workstation signs onto cardstock. The other docs can simply be
printed in color. Perhaps the "instruction" sheet wants to be in a
sheet protector or laminated, I'll deal with that.

On Monday morning on the way in, I plan on visiting the clusters and
putting signs on the selected workstations asking users not to use
those workstations on Wednesday 3/4. That way we can legitimately ask
people to move if they're using them, because I don't want to make two
rounds.

The http://debathena.mit.edu/beta/ website is coming along, and I'll
be updating it a bit over the weekend and on Monday. By Tuesday
morning, there will be no more "TODO:" links on the pages, and if we
have any empty pages, I'll remove the links for now, rather than leave
them up as "coming soon" or something.

I'll be working on this more over the weekend, so feedback is welcome.

-Jon
