The Athena 9.4.48 patch release is currently scheduled for the evening of
Monday, 11 August 2008. Changes include:
On both platforms:
* Firefox has been updated to 2.0.0.16.
* BIND has been updated to 9.3.5-P1.
* JDK has been updated to 1.5.0 update 16.
On Solaris:
* Flash plugin updated to 9.0.124.0.
On Linux:
* Base operating system updated to RHEL 4.7.
NOTE: The firefox update changes the default behavior for certificate
selection, prompting the user for certificate choice whenever the server
requests a certificate. Users can revert to the old behavior by editing
their preferences and selecting (under "Advanced", then "Encryption") the
"Select one automatically" option for their certificates.
If you have a machine set AUTOUPDATE=false, you can update it manually
after the release goes out by doing a console login as root and
running "update_ws".
