I like the idea of not running a local named anymore, but
it might not help much in the short term if TCP connections
to the name servers can be blocked again at any time.

Note that the Solaris miniroots also run the local named,
so installs and updates will fail when TCP connections are
blocked (since the zone must be refreshed at startup);
this was how we first noticed the TCP blockage when it
happened a while back (apparently by accident).  So if
we really can no longer rely on the TCP service, perhaps
we should remove the local named from the miniroots now.
