This is a reminder that the Athena 9.4.44 patch release (9.4.46 on
Linux) is currently scheduled for the evening of Wednesday January 2.
Changes include:
On both platforms:
* Firefox has been updated to 2.0.0.11.
* OpenAFS has been updated to 1.4.5.
* zenity dialog text should be selectable.
On Linux:
* RHEL 4 is updated to 4.6 (the newest quarterly update).
* VMWare Player has been added to the release.
* Fixed an rpmupdate crash affecting public kernel-smp machines.
* kernel-smp and kernel-smp-devel are now installed everywhere.
On Solaris:
* numpy should load correctly into Python.
* Patches 121296-01 and 126868-01 are installed.
* Patch 125332-02 is installed, upgrading Flash Player to version 9.
If you have a machine set AUTOUPDATE=false, you can update it manually
after the release goes out by doing a console login as root and
running "update_ws".
