I've had the default Sun compilers (cc, CC, f77 etc.) updated to the
ones in Sun Studio 11 (the compiler versions are 5.8 2005/10/13 for cc
and CC, 8.2 2005/10/13 for FORTRAN). There's a "what's new" document:
/mit/sunsoft_v11/whatsnew.pdf.
As before, default linking has been set to static for libraries that
would need to be found in the sunsoft_v11 locker at runtime.
The prior versions can still be accessed by typing:
add -f sunsoft_v10
before invoking them.
