I thought of another possible task:
* Redesign the Athena login library as PAM modules
This would let us use native login components instead of
maintaining our own hacked versions. In the past, it's been hard
to debug the resulting system, but it would be easier in a Linux
environment where we have easy access to source code for the
native components.
I believe some of the work has already been done externally.
Other changes, such as turning on Hesiod for passwd lookups, might
remove the need for some other issues. But we'd at least have to
take care of attaching the user's homedir.
