I can't speak to your problem report regarding Firefox, but for sendbug,
you can fix this by editing the file .mh_profile in the top level of
your home directory, and replacing all instances of "/usr/athena/emacs"
in that file with just "emacs". OLC should be able to provide help with
this if you have any trouble.
The problem you're seeing is a result of removing a (very old)
compatability symlink from /usr/athena/emacs to /usr/athena/bin/emacs,
and isn't new to 9.4; it actually took place in the 9.3 release.
