I haven't seen any reports of serious problems with 9.4.10 in the dev
cell, so it will go to the Athena cell this evening.
From my earlier mail:
On Linux, this patch release upgrades the kernel to the most recent
Red Hat errata kernel, and downgrades AFS to 1.3.82, since we
started seeing kernel panics and other AFS issues when we went to
1.3.83.
This patch release also upgrades the Java JVM and correctly points
the Sun default JVM to the new version (fixing sdtaudiocontrol in
the process), fixes some MIME-type handling issues in GNOME, and
contains some other miscellaneous bugfixes.
Please report kernel oopses and inaccessible AFS files if you see them
under 9.4.10! We're currently operating under the theory that we
don't see those with OpenAFS 1.3.82.
