Hi ya'll,
Since we're moving forward with the upgrade to emacs 19 I figured it was
time to determine why I was getting some slightly broken behavior from
gnus. Nothing awful, mind you, but the first time I read a newsgroup
I'd get a warning message.
Anyway, it turns out that I had a customized load-path set in my .emacs
file that had sipb in front of the default paths, and therefore I was
getting sipb's version 18 gnus instead of the version 19 gnus in the
emacs19 locker.
I'm not sure if this is a technical issue that will go away when we move
emacs19 to the packs and eventually to the default, or if it's a
documentation and user education one, but it's something to keep in the
back of our minds. And of course, this is another case where we need to
co-ordinate with the sipb locker.
That's all,
Dot
