1. MathML

We've been asked to install some fonts to make MathML work. They are
Type 1 fonts, which presents some issues:

  * Building the fonts.dir file on Solaris requires groff, which we
don't want to put in the release. So it would be nice if we could
put the fonts in a locker instead of in the release. However,
Greg was hoping not to have the release mozilla rely on the
infoagents locker (right now it does for plugins, but that may
move to /afs/athena.mit.edu/config). Still, it may be the path of
    least resistance.

  * On Linux, the "freetype" and "type1" font handler modules aren't
loaded in the XF86Config-4 files we produce, because whoever wrote
Xconfigurator figured "You only need [those modules] if you do not
use xfs." Which is true for system fonts, but not for fonts the
    user adds with xset fp+.

So we need to either hack everyone's XF86Config-4 to load those
modules, or put them in the release and make xfs see them. Either
    is unpleasant.

Bob will look into these problems. It's not clear how well MathML
would work in Mozilla even if we did have these fonts.

2. Beta release status

We need to change the default gnome-terminal font or geometry, add
space checks on Solaris, and get the Solaris mozilla build working
again. None of these is expected to be difficult; beta should happen
before next Wednesday.

3. Status

We did our status report; it will appear separately.
