That's not correct; both the Sun Blade 100 and 150 have ifb frame
buffers in our environment, although they were called by different
product names. The Sun Blade 100 had the Expert 3d Lite, and the 150
had the XVR-500. The Sun Blade 100's we ordered shipped with the card
as an option that wasn't factory installed, so if you didn't explicitly
configure the card (hotline did this for clusters with instructions I
provided) you'll still be using the onboard m64 video, which is...not
very performant. Since we'll still be supporting Ultra 5s next year,
your concerns are still valid, though.

112785-13 is a Solaris 9 patch (released today) that updates Xsun. I
don't see anything in the list of bug ID's fixed that indicates your
particular problem is fixed, but I downloaded the patch anyway; find it
at:

/afs/ops.mit.edu/user/zacheiss/112785-13.zip

A more likely looking patch is 113098-04, which replaces
libXrender.so and claims to fix this bug:

4770510 RENDER should not be advertised unless required depths are supported

You can find a copy of that at:

/afs/ops.mit.edu/user/zacheiss/113098-04.zip

Those patches end up depending on 113096-02, which I pulled down as
well; that patch only replaces OWconfig. You can get it from:

/afs/ops.mit.edu/user/zacheiss/113096-02.zip

I suspect we want all of these for the 9.2 release.

Garry
