This is a reminder that the Athena 9.1 public release is currently
scheduled to begin on the evening of tomorrow, Monday July 15.
Machines set AUTOUPDATE=true should take the update to 9.1
automatically.

To spread out the load on our networks and servers, we will do the
release for Solaris and IRIX on Monday evening, and for Linux on
Tuesday evening.

To manually update an AUTOUPDATE=false machine to the 9.1 release, do
a console login (^P at the xlogin prompt) as root and run:

  SOLARIS:
    detach -a
    attach -O athena-sun4sys-91
    update_ws

  IRIX:
    detach -a
    attach -O athena-sgisys-91
    update_ws

  LINUX:
    update_ws 9.1

Release notes are available through the "help" command. The biggest
change is the switch from xmh to Evolution for the default GUI mail
client, and from nmh to Pine for the recommended tty mail client. The
old mail clients are still present and supported, of course.

Please report any problems you see using the "sendbug" command. If
you have any questions or comments, please send them to
release-team@mit.edu.
