PostgreSQL 7.2 will not install on Athena 9.0

One of my DSpace colleagues tells me that the latest version of
PostgreSQL will not install on an Athena 9.0 Linux system because the
following revisions of libraries are required:
libcom_err.so.3
libcrypto.so.2
libk5crypto.so.3
libkrb5.so.3
libreadline.so.4
libssl.so.2
Are these libraries scheduled to be in 9.1?
Is it a lot of work to roll them out to 9.0?
