Hi,

You are correct that ssh v2 i not currently supported on athena. The
reason for this is that there is no implimentation of ssh v2 that
includes integrated support for kerberos. Unfortunately, integrating
kerberos into an existing implementation is a sufficiently large
project that we don't have the resources to commit to it ourselves
right now. Since we don't know of anyone outside of MIT working on
this we can't provide an ETA for ssh v2 support on athena at all.
That said, were you looking for an ssh v2 client on athena that would
allow you to ssh to other systems, or an ssh v2 server running on an
athena machine so that you can log into athena using ssh v2. I
suspect you want the latter, but if it's the former we may be able to
arrive at a compromise of some sort.
