We discussed adding gedit to 9.0 at the last AUI meeting. It was present
in the linux 8.4 release, but I think I removed it from 9.0 under a vague
idea that we'd be rebuilding anything vaguely GNOME-related ourselves.
I gather that at least some people thought it would be improve the AUI
environment, but it would only be available on Athena Linux machines
unless we build it ourselves.
Perhaps we can discuss this briefly this afternoon.
