It looks like this was an AFS version skew issue, not a Solaris
version skew issue. Garry made a miniroot with an AFS 3.6 kernel
module, and I moved it into place (I left the old miniroot in
miniroot.tar.Z.old), and it seems to work fine.
So, back to the plan from release-team. I will put out 8.4.22
momentarily.
