Dear Bill: I've spoken with Susan twice since your message last night. I
told her that the process we've had to go through to get this box was
horrific, and after receiving it still isn't accurate. I further said we'd
likely be sampling other vendor products based on this experience, not as an
isolated incident but as a pattern that takes too much time and energy to
keep on track.

Next question: what other platform(s) do you want to sample? You mentioned
Gateway in your voice mail. Are there a few more that we should look at?
E.g., Micron (usually a performance leader); others?

Re: who's going to do the integration: since the integration was supposed to
be done by Dell, why not we ask Dell to have someone come out and put the
parts in place here that they couldn't put in place in the original factory
order? I don't think anyone has the time and no one should have to do the
build that we ostensibly pay the vendor for in a custom order. Am I missing
something?

phil
