Ok, the GX 150 arrived today.
Without the NVIDIA video we require.
Without the Sound card and mouse I requested.
As you can imagine, there are silouettes on the wall from where
I detonated about that.
Since it's a week for Dell to cook up the custom build of the right thing,
I have instead instructed them to send us separate add on cards:
For the NVIDIA video.
For the standard sound upgrade.
Here is my suggestion:
Someone volunteers to be the Linux/GX150 integrator.
That person gets the machine, and the cards when they come.
That person determines:
Yes, the GX150 will work with Athena 9.0
Yes, the NVIDIA is the right video to ship.
The sound we should specify is:
the onboard AC97
the Turtle Beach stock upgrade
the Sound Blaster that Dell would have to custom integrate.
When that determination is made, I get wjfitz to pay for what we received,
and to place an order for 5 more.
Does this plan sound reasonable?
Who is going to be the GX150 integrator?
