   The binaries found on the Athena print servers will work. Also, you
can find builds for all Athena platforms we might care about in:

/afs/athena/service/scratch/zacheiss/

    as I just mentioned in mail to Tom Grayson, cc'd to release-team.

   Consider me contacted.  The 8.4 lpd as of 8.4.20 has one known bug;
duplex queues on printers that require authentication will not work. I
can provide a working Solaris 7 lpd if one is required, but it will be a
build of the 8.3 lpd for the new operating system in Athena 8.4. The
problem is that LPRng 3.6.13 was imported into the Athena tree by Mike
Whitson, who left without verifying it was completely working. I've
been attempting to backpatch as much as possible, but I'm becoming less
convinced this is possible. We may need to either rollback to the 8.3
source base or import a newer version for a patch release. We can
discuss this in release-team on Wednesday if you'd like.

   I see no mail from Karen, or from anyone else, regarding an sshd for
pre-8.4 machines to bugs since Greg announced the 8.4.20 patch release.

   As Bill mentions, the mail to release-announce sent by Greg did
indicate to contact release-team if assistance was required; I agree
that doing an 8.3 patch release at the same time as the 8.4 one would
have been the best thing, and failing to do so was an oversight.
