Installing 8.4 doesn't seem to work (it appears to install again, but
stops at "LI" at boot time). So we reverted the default install to
8.3 again.
Thomas, if you have fixes for the 8.4 install, we should deploy them
RSN. Lack of syncconf is a serious impediment for cluster services.
