I wrote some system release notes. They're... kind of short. I
couldn't find any miscellaneous changes to mention which weren't
bugfixes, so we're left with:
* OS upgrades (including Linux)
* Third-party software upgrades (mostly boring)
* athrun
* A few decommissioned programs
Anyway, they're in /afs/dev.mit.edu/project/relnotes/rel84.tex. The
Athena 8.3 latex installation doesn't deal with the release notes
style, so you need to add -f newtex to format them. (I'm not sure if
anyone actually formats the system release notes these days.)
