The athena linux install appears to take the tack of installing almost
everything from a redhat workstation install, including (but not limited to)
gnome and the redhat versions of tex, lpr, nmh, and exmh.

"Disk space is cheap!"
"Conflicts never happen."
"We have always been at war with East Asia."

Somewhere (possibly obscured) in the stuff I handed over to thomas was a
list of rpms that were more or less only what you wanted on an athena
workstation.  Sadly, they may not have been clearly labled.  Regardless,
the release should have a less inclusive list of rpms, or you're going to
have a recurring support nightmare.
