I have the instructions from Thomas for making a boot disk and have a problem
with the process. When I use the format command given in the instructions, I
get the message
/dev/fd0H1440: Permission denied
athena%
I am however able to make floppys on a sun workstation.
Please fix this problem ASAP. The instructions as they stand now for making a
floppy on a linux machine are useless. I will be more than happy to show people
this if they want to see it. Please call me at 3-1530.
Just as a side note, this e-mail came from a linux machine with a floppy made on
a sun workstation.
