Summary:

We'll have install floppies, instructions on their use, and instructions
for making those floppies to you next Monday February 7. You can plan
to deploy the machines next week.

Detail:

Thomas reports that he has the floppy install working now, and will have
the fully automated install scripts working by Wednesday. He also
reports that it is very likely that update will be working by Friday.

Rather than give you floppies on Thursday with the need to reinstall
next week, we figured we'd aim to hit a home run on Monday with both
install and update working. There is still the possibility that there
will be bugs in the update. But the worst that could happen would be a
visit to the machines to do a reinstall.

The contingency plan is that the floppies to do install will be in your
hands next monday even if we've not got update fully working.

I've spoken to Heather Anne Harrison, and she will help out with getting
the appropriate posters and what-not cooked up.

I plan to put onto this Wednesday's release team agenda an item:
	Sundries for Linux-Athena Pilot roll-out.
That will give me an opportunity to get help from others to make sure
everything is ready for the pilot without my personnaly ending up
responsible for tying up loose ends.
