print server upgrades

As many of you know, we are working on replacing our print server
software with a much newer and better codebase (LPRng). We had
initially hoped to get this deployed before drop date (4/22).
However, the new software isn't going to be ready by then. As you may
know, we have a policy of not scheduling (non-emergency) outages, or
performing upgrades during the critical period from drop date through
the end of finals. As such, we will be rescheduling the upgrade (for
academic print servers) for sometime early this summer.
Since the SAP print servers are used for administrative and not
academic computing, we may upgrade them before the end of finals. Of
course, we won't do that until we have a codebase that we are
comfortable with and have done the necessary scheduling with the SAP
print administrators and the Helpdesk.
