Could you please explain to him that once he has been forced to crash a
machine by pulling the plug, he should not just blithely plug it in and hope
it is working? Instead, I'd recommend a reinstall.
Frankly, after three hard crashes, I wouldn't trust it. Yes, fsck does the
best it can, but...
