I mentioned this to ghudson in person a while ago, and recently
have been wanting it more, so I thought I'd see if I could get an
official responce.
It would be really useful to have among the options on the athena
login screen an option that would set the $ATHENA_QUICK variable.
The use or non-use of bug-me could go either way, but I think it
would be better, and possibly easier if it were left out in this
case.
The purpose would be of course to let the user customize around
the setting of that variable.
Currently the only real possibility for a non-standard
customization is through the "Special Login" option which seems
much more of a kludge, and much more difficult to customize.
