I wanted to give you this heads up as soon as I knew it.
I had been thinking that Open GL was part of the standard Solaris
Release. It's not. It's part of a Supplemental Disk.
We have been so busy sorting out the hardware and boot issues, that we
didn't properly prioritize reviewing the Supplementary Disk. We didn't
prepare to put this package in, and now it's VERY late in the game to be
trying to jam 15 megabytes of new stuff onto packs we thought were
frozen.
What should have happened was that when Miki publicised the contents of
the various disks, we should have made more careful review.
On the agenda for the next release team is an assessment of the impact
of trying to add Open GLin a patch release.
