There's no attach and run version of gcc.  It's true, though, that the
cygnus locker gcc will continue to cause a support burden as long as
it sits there and fails to work.  We should probably put scripts in
there which explain the switch and say that one should:

	add -r cygnus
	add gnu

and try again.
