Um, Bill, that's what the global dotfiles in /usr/athena/lib/init are
for.  I think we're probably better off throwing up a big X than
leaving whatever's on the screen there.  OTOH, years ago we used to
use the big X and not screen blanking.  Anyone remember why we
stopped?
