1. Kernel patches for 8.1 -- 8.1.18
day 248, SCSI, etc. dan, Jonathon, Greg will work on it.
2. Ultra five install for hotline
this is not ready for prime time yet.
3. Indy with 32 MB problem
the update has a check so it will stop before trying. The install,
unfortunately, tries --
for 10 hours.
All Indies should be upgraded to at least 64 MB. Users should be advised to
check using hinv, sysinfo, or machtype -M how much memory their system has.
If it is 32 MB, they need to upgrade.
4. Update on the strip problem (Irix 6.2)
it appears to be an AFS problem with the end of the file having some bad bytes.
This caused strip to have trouble.. Bob is working with SGI to correct.
5. Moving to Netscape 4.05
there is discussion of who to talk to about changing the default Netscape. We
recommend that the infoagents locker maintainers discuss the move with
the release team, fuzzballs, and the integration team as appropriate -- and
make the decision.
6. Athena 8.3
for a Athena 8.3, we should make sure we have done source audits of
all SUID programs; removed the Athena imake; and Y2K testing.
Note: next week (6/9), Mike Barker will not be in town. However, the team
will meet at the normal time and place.
