I was not involved in knfs development. The ones who were (danw and
miki) are not on release-team. I will try to answer the
release-related questions, but I can't solve her main problem.

Probably a bug in mkserv knfs, and not really important, as you
surmised.

I don't know why the update would change NFSSRV to false, unless
PUBLIC was set to true. On private workstations, the update doesn't
fiddle with rc.conf except to add new variables.

/etc/init.d/athena is supposed to attach the system packs with the -O
flag. Either something went seriously wrong with agora's update (in
which case I'd like to see the /var/athena/update.log file) or you
have local customizations to /etc/init.d/athena and need to merge them
into the newest version of the script.

That's a driver-level error related to the serial port. I wouldn't
worry about it too much.

All of these problems appear to be related to mkserv print, and are
best addressed by mwhitson, who is not on release-team.
