Hi all,
A word about the past release:
Since the last release (7/22/97 ?) I have encountered many complaints
about down workstations displaying the msg "boot failed, illegal command".
Many of these failures came from the bldg 66 area. The majority of these
failures were on Sparc Classics. The corrective action would be to re-install
the software. Once this took place, the workstations were back to life.
Over the past few days, the above type of failure has been reported on
Sparc4's, in 1-245, & N52. Have also encountered numerous amounts of Sparc4's
just freezing up, while in use by clients. My instincts tell me that it may be
possibly related to the last release, and to me, its worth mentioning to the
release team. Please look into this issue.
