Singing Out for Peace and Justice.
The evening is on!!
for Thursday, November 11 (veteran's day), 7 PM , First Parish
Church in Cambridge (Harvard Square). songs of peace, justice,
struggle . free and open to all ages who care about community and
justice and ending violence.
so far confirmed and eager are Taproot, Sue Kranz, Latin American
music, Donnell Patterson (and choirs, youth?, adult?), David Olson.
invitations out to Ruth Hamilton, Workingman's Circle, The Pipettes,
Ibrahima Camara, Dean Stevens, Tony Salatan, Sergio Reyes, Melania
Bruno, New England Spiritual Ensemble, Ben Tousley and Vincent
Stringer, PAW, PJC Hip-Hop
people are being invited to sing 1-2 songs and lead 1-2 song
if you know of others, please let me know..
we are also inviting groups to say a few words about current
movements (an extended announcement not speeches) such as ETAN,
Campaign for the Iraqi People, labor movement, Sweatshops, School of
the Americas, World Trade Organizing, Peace Action, Abolition 2000,
Central America, Cuba, Veterans for Peace, etc.
Will you help with organizing??? publicizing? putting the word into
your newsletter? Do you want to be "on the agenda"?
