Speaking as a former member of Elect Comm, I am interested to discuss the changes to the election
timeline.

Firstly, reading this bill, when do you want to actually /have/ the elections? The bill eliminates
the mandated timing from the elections code (maybe with the intention of leaving it up to the
Election Commissioner). In my opinion, it is more preferable to over-specify things like the timing.
The best way we currently have to transmit institutional knowledge is through the governing docs.
Why do you want to eliminate that?

Also, speaking as someone who ran for Senate as a freshmen, I would not have been able to pull my
shit together and get a Senate seat if it would have been any earlier (and I lived in Next House).
Are you trying to reduce/eliminate Freshmen Senators? Also, how does the freshmen class council
election work with this new structure?

These are just a couple of thoughts. Anyone else have an opinion?
