Chapter Meeting Minutes 9/28
Attendance: Liz, Nina, Kyra, Will, Michael, Lori
Advisor: Liz, Lori
Check calendar
Pledge Ceremony: Sunday; Start at 10:30
SMBC: 11:59 right after
Bikes Not Bombs: October 5th
Netflix and not Chill: October 7th
Claire had to step down from FVP; Kyra will not be able to be FVP this seme=
ster either
Lucy was very active in chapter; could be good person for that role
after second rush, could put in more fellowship events
(figure out when rush is)
(want to get ball rolling on when rush is going to be)(also will likely hav=
e scary movie fellowship after LD Day and before Halloween)
get Rush 2.0 planned by 10/7 for Infinite Display (usually need 1 - 2 weeks=
in advance)
Michael: will look into LD Day rooms this weekend; try to reserve them if p=
ossible (no need to do this anymore...)
PLEDGE CEREMONY THIS SUNDAY
Nina: will discuss existing money stuff with Amanda (e.g. talent show proce=
eds)
Regionals happening January 4 - 7 this coming 2018; section wants 2 MIT bro=
thers to go to that; after holiday season
(could cover costs of going)
PubDir: templates going alright for now; also thinking of other template id=
eas
(rush idea: "second breakfast")
RUSH PLANNING:
(not focusing as much on Lobby 10 stuff anymore)
Ideas:
Nina: Black Morbid; angsty poetry and stuff; help de-stress during hard tim=
es; free food
Will: three ideas
give free hot chocolate and ice cream; bouncy house
pumpkin carving fellowship
second breakfast
(at least two can be considered service to the school)
Nathan: something to do with large amounts of mint from Alibaba (also get s=
tickers)(Kyra will look into stickers)
(mints would be good for Lobby 10)
Professors Reading Bad Fan-Fiction
Michael: Top of the Hub dinner (still haven't really looked into that)
Care-Package Making (i.e. people walk in and make care packages with materi=
als we provide)(combine with Black Morbid)
Open Mic (if not going to be a big rush event)
Kyra: grill out
(Nathan quick updates: scheduled rooms for LD Day; will send update email r=
egarding things soon)(will be sending out list of upcoming service)
Nina: once she receives email about LD Day signup, will email to chapter
