Following a discussion about the kerberized telnetd that we decided
not to do, John says:

I would suggest that even if you don't take the authentication options,
you should take the other new option stuff (which is RFC'ed and
codified), such as the options I mentioned in a previous message.

I think this is a good idea which we could do either by including the
telnetd as-is or the telnetd with the disputed authentication option
removed. Let's discuss it at the ACT meeting today.
