I've run across messages with a bit more detail about an electronic text
compilation project called the Online Book Initiative. Also used FTP to
explore the directories and content lists of the world.std.com server, in
directory /obi. I thought PACS-L subscribers would be interested in learning
about this effort.
I include below two extracts from text of the OBI2 message following this
introductory message. Text contents of OBI2 are forwarded by permission of
author Barry Shein, of Software Tool & Die.
