A. Internet Access

To get an account, currently three services offer full Internet access:

World  (Brookline, Mass) - A Public Access Unix System
Netcom (Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley) - Online Communication Services
JvNCnet (Princeton, NJ) - Dialin'Tiger

World
Services
  E-Mail to Internet, UUCP, BITNET, etc.
  USENET - collection of 2600 newsgroups
  ClariNet - UPI, AP, and Satellite news services
  Unix Software - need to know Unix system
  Shell access
  Archie - indexes for most anonymous FTP sites on Internet
  GNU software
  AlterNet access via FTP/Telnet
  Compuserve Packet Network access
Limitations on FTP Access and others
Due to NSFnet policy, FTP/Telnet connections are limited:
  Northeast users cannot have access to Midwest part and Colorado
  Many .EDU or "Research and Education" Internet locations do not allow
access (a user's experience)

  20/20 Plan: $20.00/20 hrs + $1.00/hr

Anonymous FTP is unlimited as long as users access within NSFnet policy (in

their term).

  Business: $35.00/month
  UUCP Account (optional) $7.50/month

B. Internet Connection

Over a dozen of companies provide Internet connections.  Most of these
companies do not provide many of the services that the World, Netcom, or
JvNCnet provide, i.e.  FTP, Telnet, Archive, or USENET access with online
interconnections.

However, limited services are available to individual users.  Followings
are examples of the services offered by Internet service providers.

Limitations on FTP Access and Others
  Provide access to text only documents not exceeding one Megabyte in the
current release.

  LowSpeed (1200/2400) $19.00/month
  HighSpeed (9600/v.32) $29.00/month

Supports MSDOS based PC's (PSI provides the software to give FTP/Telnet
