Massey University Library is in the process of selecting a new on-line
catalog system. The selection committee has reviewed various options and
has narrowed the field to two candidates: DRA or Dynix.
Before making a final decision we are seeking libraries who are currently
using DRA or Dynix and asking for them to contact us. Some particulars
about our situation:
--Massey University is a tertiary institution, one of seven universities
in New Zealand
--Our current system is VTLS; we would be most keen to hear from
institutions who have recently migrated from VTLS to DRA or Dynix.
--Our probable platform for Dynix would be Unix on an HP machine
--Our target user load is 200 users
Our circumstances require a decision to be made _soon_ in order to use
the Christmas/summer break to install the system and train staff. (i.e.,
please response immediately).
If you are a DRA or Dynix user and are in a position to share your views
with us please write directly to me at the address listed below.
All who respond to this message will receive our heartfelt thanks and
a follow-up report about what we decided and why.
