I have had the same problem when using Pitt's system (NOTIS)- when you
log your session all you get is trash. I solved it by using a shareware
program called PRINDIR, which redirects printer output to a disk file, so
when I do a search and want to save anything, I just do a PrintScreen and it
goes to the disk file as it would to the printer, with all the carriage returns
intact. Then I call the file into WordStar, edit out the "instructional
lines" and I'm on my way. It is a bit more cumbersome than what you propose,
but is workable. If you're interested in trying this out, I'll dig out the
manual and get you the author's address.
