I am looking for "dummy data" to test a full-text search algorithm.
This means I am looking for a source of (inexpensive) full text
documents in electronic format.
Ideally, I need journal-article-length documents with with
abstracts, full text, and USMARC bibliographic records.
I can work with full-text documents that have non-MARC citations,
such as DIALOG-like journal or BIP citations, as long as some
bibliographic data is broken out into fields.
Is there an online database of articles or other documents, similar to the
full-text databases provided by DIALOG? I would also be interested in
documents on disk, or an archive that is telnet or ftp-accessible.
Information about any potential sources would be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to contact me by email or telephone.
All suggestions welcome.
