UNC Chapel Hill Institute for Academic Technology
Information Resources Guides document

Several of the projects I am working on here at the IAT Library result in
bibliographies, vendor lists, collections of citations from database
searches, etc.. These are all available online on our anonymous ftp site
(gandalf.iat.unc.edu or 128.109.40.4) in the guides directory.

However, realizing that electronic publishing has not yet shoved hardcopy
into the background, we have also collected most of these documents into a
printed, bound format. This collection, "Information Resource Guides:
Technology Sources and Bibliographies," is now available from the IAT.
Copies in small quantities are free of charge to libraries and
individuals, and can be ordered by writing to:

		Institute for Academic Technology
		P.O. Box 12017
		Research Triangle Park, NC 27709-2017

or calling 919/560-5031 or faxing request to 919/560-5047.

We also have an email address: pubs.iat@mhs.unc.edu or you can email
requests directly to me (carolynk.iat@mhs.unc.edu).

IAT documents may be reprinted, in printed or electronic form, without
permission from the IAT as long as the contents of the document are not
changed, the document is not offered for sale, and the IAT is credited as
the source and copyright holder. If you would like to edit the document,
we ask that you share a copy of the revised version with us and seek
written permission to reproduce it. We would also appreciate your informing
us your intention to use a document from our publications so that we will
know which documents have proven the most useful.

NOTE: due to the constantly-changing nature of the computer industry, these
resource documents are also being constantly revised. Our latest revisions
will always be available on our anonymous ftp site.

I welcome suggestions for future documents and comments on our current
collection.
