This request is being cross-posted on PACS-L and MEDLIB.
Please excuse the duplication.

The McGill University Libraries have been a NOTIS site
since 1986. We are now giving serious consideration to the
MDAS module and would like to hear from other MDAS sites.
Which databases have you loaded? Are you also maintaining some
or all of the local databases on CD-ROM format as well? If yes,
why? How are you handling the printing and downloading of records?
Finally briefly describe user reaction.
I would like to address a question specifically to health sciences
libraries running MEDLINE through MDAS. Are you satisfied with
MEDLINE performance? How have you handled the program's inability
to "EXPLODE" medical subject headings?
I am equally interested in hearing from NOTIS sites who have
decided against the MDAS product. Briefly, what were the main
factors which led to your decision.
Please respond to me directly and I will post summary information
to the lists if there is interest. Thanking you in advance.
