Dear friends,
IATUL and the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, Portugal,
with the collaboration of the Universidade do Minho and Universitat
Polytènica de Catalunya are delighted to announce the IATUL 2006 Conference
in Portugal, Porto on 22-25 May, 2006.
IATUL (International Association of Technological University Libraries –
http://www.iatul.org), founded in 1955 as a voluntary international
non-governmental organisation of libraries, provides a forum for the
exchange of ideas relevant to librarianship in technological universities
throughout the world. It also provides library directors and senior managers
an opportunity to develop a collaborative approach to solving common
problems. From the current activities we enlight the IATUL discussion list,
the IATUL Alert, a monthly email bulletin , the IATUL News, a web page
listing of news items relevant to members, and the annual conferences, whose
proceedings are available at the website.

Papers:
The abstracts submission's deadline will be the 20th January 2006.
The acceptance to be informed by will be the 17th February 2006.
Full papers are due by 5th May 2006.
Posters:
The abstracts submission's deadline will be the 20th January 2006.
The acceptance to be informed by will be the 17th February 2006.
Topics:
We are pleased to invite you to submit papers and posters that can address a
broad range of topics related to the Conference main Theme.
The areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Libraries and Teaching and Learning
• Libraries and Research
• Systems Integration
Proceedings and Awards:
All papers accepted for presentation will be published at the IATUL website
and in CD.
The IATUL BOARD awards Poster Prize(s) at each conference on the advice of
judging panel of two Board Members.
Travel Grants:
IATUL operates an Annual Travel Grant Programme to assist first-time
attendees to the IATUL Conference.
