Systems Librarian: Creighton University, Omaha, NE.
Primary responsibilities: Manage and integrate library technologies to
support the operations of the Creighton University Libraries. Perform
database administration duties, system maintenance and upgrades for the
library system, digital archive and related products. Customize the
display of the public access catalog and other web integrated
applications. Serve as part of the strategic planning team to analyze
and recommend future technologies and systems.
Required qualifications: Masters degree in library science from an
accredited ALA program. Demonstrated ability to support, develop and
maintain integrated library systems. Ability to work within a team and
independently. Must have logical, analytical, and problem-solving
skills. Must have good interpersonal communication skills: written and
oral.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with SIRSI Library System
administration. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Knowledge and
experience with Javascript, HTML, XML and SQL. Experience working with
relational databases and building reports using standard query
languages. Knowledge of or experience with institutional repositories.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States at the time of
hire.
