Dear colleagues,
The 29th Library Systems Seminar of the European Library Automation Group
will take place at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland from the 1st to the 3rd
of June 2005. This year's topic is "Open Access".
ELAG brings together once a year people involved in library automation in
the leading European libraries and information centres. The organization
counts 450 members in 27 countries all over Europe.
The ELAG seminar consists of three parts :
- the presentation of papers on the main theme of the seminar
- round table discussions of progress reports
- workshops
Workhops' topics include:
- ZING
- ISO ILL, NISO NCIP or Open URL?
- RSS
- E-books
- E-learning and libraries
- Electronic Resource Management
- RFID and self-service
- Metasearch systems versus Google Scholar
- Low cost e-journal production
