Special Services Librarian Opening
Tarleton State University, a regional university of over 9,000
students located in Stephenville, TX is one-hour southwest of Fort Worth. A
member of The Texas A&M University System, Tarleton is committed to academic
excellence. The library is seeking a motivated, energetic, multi-tasked
oriented individual to serve on the Public Services team.
The Special Services Librarian maintains resources and services for
the Curriculum, Audio-visual, Maps, University Archives, and Limited
Collections. Works with the faculty, staff and students in academic
programs that utilize Special Services. Provides reference services via
face-to-face, on-line, and print venues and assists in instruction program.
Required qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS. Two years experience working
with Public Service and/or Special Collections in a college/university
library setting. Experience with media and educational services.
Twelve-month appointment with minimum salary of $33,000, depending
on qualifications. Benefits include choice of group medical and retirement
programs; state holidays; paid vacation/sick leave; no state or local income
tax; and tuition program.
